Pursuant to title 17 Section 105 of the United States Code this software is not subject to copyright protection and is in the public domain.
In other words, you are free to use this software for any purpose desired, non-commercial or commercial, with no payment or even acknowledgement required. (Though not acknowledging usage is a bit on the rude side, isn't it?)
As is usual for software released in this way, there is absolutely no warranty of any sort. While we are continuing to develop the software and appreciate notice of any problems (to nistswitch-dev@antd.nist.gov), we can make no guarantees!
General NIST policies on security and privacy may be found here. When you request the NIST Switch software distribution, we ask for information such as state or country of residence. This is used only for internal NIST reporting. When you subscribe to the the NIST Switch mailing list, we obviously require your email address. Providing any of this information is purely voluntary.
