The Medical Round of EDI
The next round will be for medical benefit:
Improved patient care, delivery-of-care transactions
Patient medical record information (PMRI)
Reduction in Medical errors
Patient safety
National health Information Infrastructure (NHII)
Frictionless Communications
Two Subjects
Provider Communications Systems must be equal, not clients.  They must be full function, equal participants, not clients, able to send and receive, full security, integrated, automatic, real-time and batch
We need basic infrastructure.
