Installation / Configuration / Debugging

ApAdmin

• Runs on Authentication Proxy server.

• Configures Authentication Proxy

• Tests Authentication Proxy

• Tests Authentication Proxy's connection to VistA

• Tabs:

  • AP Config - Configure address + port + access;verify for VistA access

  • Diagnostics - Test configuration and connection to Authentication Proxy and VistA

  • VistA Proxy Registration - Registers Authentication Proxy with VistA server.

  • Connect to VistA - Sign on to VistA as the Authentication Proxy (needed for VistA Proxy Registration)

  • AP Log - view Authentication Proxy log file.

EssoAdmin

• Runs on client workstation.
• Connects to VistA via ESSO and the Authentication Proxy.
• Manipulates "higher-level functions" like the NT Map and Visiting.
• Basic Access tabs:
  • NT Map - View NT -> VistA account map and delete entries
  • Restricted Users - Enter users that are not allowed to use ESSO.
  • Event Log - View ESSO event log on VistA.
  • AP Launch Test - Test launch Authentication Proxy.
• Visit Access tabs: (Traveler is user leaving your site. Visitor is user arriving at your site.)
  • Visitor Status - View status of Visitors to your site.
  • Traveler Status - View status of a traveler from your site.
  • Travel Sites - Edit list of travel sites.
  • Visit / Travel Menus - Edit Traveler and Visitor
  • Restricted Visit Keys - View/Edit list of keys visitors cannot have.

Esso

• Runs on client workstation.
• Makes broker / client agent connection to a VistA server.
• Uses Authentication Proxy.
• Has Config button to edit the workstation configuration (VistA,port,AP combinations)
