Conference on Designs for Generalized Linear Models (GLMs)

Gaithersburg, MD April 18 through April 20, 2002

The Conference celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Nelder and Wedderburn paper on GLMs. The Statistical Engineering Division (SED) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) acted as the host. The organizing Committee consisted of Andre I. Khuri, from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida and A. Ivelisse Aviles, from NIST. One goal of the conference was to provide a forum for interaction among people working on diverse areas of designs for GLMs. The main focus will be on the problem of dependency of a design on the unknown parameters of the model. The second goal was to provide a stimulus to young researchers and graduate students in the Design area. Invited speakers included B. Ankenman, K. Chaloner, V. V. Fedorov, M. Ghosh, H. Iyer, J. Jiang, A. Il. Khuri, J. Nelder, K. Robinson, T. Robinson, P. Sebastiani, R. Sitter, B. Toman, B. Torsney, J. Voelkel, and C. F. J. Wu.
