Statistical concepts and methods are indispensable to research efficiency and planning, as well as to characterization of measurement uncertainty. As part of our effort to help NIST scientists and engineers take advantage of statistical techniques, the Statistical Engineering Division offers statistical education and training via short courses and the web.
