Advanced Mass Measurement Workshop

Advanced Mass Measurement Workshop

The Advanced Mass Measurement Workshop, sponsored by the NIST Office of Weights and Measures in collaboration with the Statistical Engineering Division, is intended for metrologists from state and industrial laboratories. The workshop provides the background in theory, procedures and statistics that is required for mass calibration at high levels of accuracy.

The workshop concentrates on the application of check standards to mass calibration and the characteristics of weighing designs. Concepts of measurement control are explored via interactive computer sessions where representative check standard data are generated and analyzed by each attendee. Concepts relating to weighing designs are also explored in computer sessions where specific weighing designs are critiqued and modified by each attendee.

To find out when the next currently scheduled workshop will be held, check the SED Calendar.
