ACE Phase 1 (2000)
Bug Reports
During the ACE Pilot Study, NIST will attempt to resolve obvious errors
in the annotation of the data. The following table summarizes the list
of bug reports and actions taken.

Instances of "Europe(an) and Asia(n)" were originally marked as
GSPs. After reviewing section 6.2.4 of the task definition, BBN changed
them to LOC. |
BBN will submit these fixes with their next batch of data, NIST
will make them available as part of the complete training set distribution
on Monday April 10th. |

In raising the question regarding examples like "southern France",
the answer was that "southern France" should be a single LOC name
mention. The following files were originally marked with a nested
GSP name mention (for "France"):
