In order to facilitate understanding of the TDT system development requirements, the evaluation relies on the TDT Evaluation Plan to describe in detail the five evaluation tasks, the data supplied to the system, and the expected system output.

The Evaluation Plan has been modified for the TDT-2001 evaluation. The task definitions have not changed this year, however the plan now reflects the sanctioned usage of TDT corpora for the 2001 evaluation.

The evaluation plan is an evolving document. Since it changes frequently, the table below contains pointers to previous versions and Microsoft-generated comparisions which highlights the changes between versions.
