In order to facilitate understanding of the TDT system development requirements, the evaluation relies on the TDT Evaluation Plan to describe in detail the five evaluation tasks, the data supplied to the system, and the expected system output.

Currently, the only planned differences between the 2002 and 2001 Evaluation plan are the unrestricted use of TDT3 and the addition of Arabic as a language. An updated evaluation plan will be made available shortly.

The evaluation plan is an evolving document. Since it changes frequently, the table below contains pointers to previous versions and Microsoft-generated comparisons which highlights the changes between versions.

Brief Change History:

TDT 2002 V1.1 - Changed the required boundary conditions to be the reference boundaries and made the test source languages include Arabic.
