+LABVIEW
There will be a hands-on training for LabVIEW at NIST on October 13th and again on October 14. You will create a simple application, use the wizard, learn to control IEEE 488 (GPIB) or serial control instruments with LabVIEW instruments drivers, and learn about some of the built-in analysis functions. You will also learn about ActiveX and multireading in LabVIEW. There will be two people per computer (laptops supplied by National Instruments). Each laptop will be connected to an instrument simulator.

#LaTeX Class
Learn how to create LaTeX documents in a two-day hands-on presentation That will cover skill levels from beginning to preparation of scientific papers. " The LaTeX Companion", by Goossens et al., Addison Wesley ISBN 0-201-54199-8, is needed for this class. It can be purchased at local bookstores for approximately $35.00.

##FIDAP
FIDAP (Fluid Dynamics Analysis Package) is a UNIX application that uses a finite element method to model fluid dynamics problems. All NIST employees with ITL workstation accounts can use FIDAP by logging into the appropriate machine.

%MAPLE V Training
The one-day introductory workshop includes topics:
Maple V Basics, Numerics, Symbolics, Visualization, Other Mathematics capabilities, Maple V and the Web.
